To: Management From: Colt, Chief Cookie Critic Re: The book boxes in the hallway
It has come to my attention that every week, several cardboard boxes full of books arrive at the house, sit in the hallway for two days, and then leave in the truck without me. I do not raise this as a complaint. I raise it because they are the best boxes in the house and I was not consulted.
Findings
- The boxes are sorted by what the humans call “genre.” I sorted them by which one fits me best. Mine is the better system.
- One box contained only westerns. I sat in it for most of a Tuesday. I did not read any of them, as I do not read.
- A bookmark with a tassel was left on top of the poetry box. The tassel moved when I looked at it. I acted within policy.
Recommendations
The boxes should stay in the hallway for at least one additional day before they go out on the truck. This will give management more time to sort them and give me more time to sit in them. Everybody wins.
