Questions we get a lot

• How do pre-orders work?

  Pick a stop, choose your goodies, and pay online through Square. We'll bag them with your name on them, and you can pick them up at the window any time during that stop.

• Will you sell out?

  Often, yes! That's the best reason to pre-order. Pre-ordered cookies are set aside just for you, so they can't sell out from under you.

• How do I pay?

  Cash or card at the window. Pre-orders are paid online by card when you order.

• How much are the books?

  Used books start at $2. Browse the shelves, grab what you like, and pay at the window.

• What about allergies?

  Our kitchen handles wheat, dairy, eggs and nuts. We're always happy to tell you what's in a cookie, but we can't guarantee it never met a peanut.

• What if the weather turns?

  Stops sometimes move or get cancelled, even on the day. The map on this page and our stop alert emails are always up to date. If we cancel a stop you pre-ordered for, we'll refund you.

• Can I meet Colt?

  Sadly, no. Colt stays home, and the truck is a cat-free zone. He sends his regards. (He doesn't.)

• Do you take books or do you have a book buy-back program?

  We gladly accept gently used books for store credit only. Trade-in credit helps us keep books in circulation and supports our small business. We do not offer cash for books. Trade in credit can only be used for a maximum of five books onsite the day of trade in and additional books can be used toward that day's purchases only. Trade in value varies based on demand, condition, and inventory. Trade in credit is typically 10-30% of our resale price per book. High-demand or newer titles may qualify for higher credit (30% or more). Credit can be used for up to 50% of the price of used books. Remaining balance must be paid by cash or card. Trade credit has no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash. Trade value is non-negotiable.

• What types of books do you accept?

  We accept books that meet these guidelines:

  Gently used and in clean, readable condition.

  No tears, stains, missing pages, or damage.

  No strong odors (smoke, mildew, pet odors). Colt is side-eyeing me.

  Covers and spines intact and structurally sound.

  Popular fiction and nonfiction titles.

  Children's and YA books in good condition.

  Recent non-fiction (typically published within the last 5-10 years).

  Acceptance is not guaranteed.

  Books are accepted based on condition, demand, and current inventory needs. We may decline items even if they are in good condition. We reserve the right to refuse any books at our discretion.

• What types of books do you NOT accept?

  We do not accept books that are:

  Moldy, water-damaged, dirty or heavily worn.

  Written in, highlighted, or missing pages.

  Outdated or low-demand titles.

  Magazines, encyclopedias, or textbooks.

  Reader's Digest condensed books or mass-produced series.

  Items we already have too many copies of on the truck.

  Unaccepted books must be taken with you the same day or they will be donated/discarded if you choose to leave them. Books are accepted based on condition, demand, and current inventory needs. We may decline items even if they are in good condition. We reserve the right to refuse any books at our discretion.

• How many books will you take at a time?

  Since we don't have a LOT of room on the truck, we can only take a maximum of 5 books per person per visit on a truck stop day and only five of them will be allowed for credit purposes. Credit can only be used on used books in the truck that are for sale and cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash. Credit expires after the weekend pop-up event is over. We don't carry over credits. Evaluation will be same day and go toward the current days' purchase. If you want to arrange to donate more books, let us know via email and we will work something out. We won't buy them, but we are happy to help you find good homes for them.
